AS-05SP Pro Pike

Tetsuhiro Sato, the pioneer behind the techniques of slow pitch jerk, long fall jerk, and light tackle slow jigging, has fine-tuned the Pike hook to perfection. Adapted for slow jigging techniques, the Decoy AS-O5SP Pro Pike jigging hook builds on the base performance of the Pike by tuning its tip angle to ensure an even better hook-set rate. This optimal tip angle also safeguards against snagging on the bottom or structures while reliably catching target species, especially when aiming for aggressive bottom fish or rockfish.

Tetsuhiro Sato's modifications to the Pike culminate in achieving ultimate penetration and holding power. The strength of the hook's first bend has been increased, and the CF processing further enhanced to prevent fish from getting off, such as due to tearing at the fish's mouth. The shaft's robustness is further bolstered by reinforced flat forging on its two primary curves. To minimise fish escapes, the barb is significantly enlarged. As a testament to its durability, the hook undergoes a highly corrosion-resistant tin plating process and is complemented by the AquaBlock treatment.
